I had the privilege of training several exceptional people at a care facility recently, and while taking a break was approached by a resident of that caring home.
She asked me what I was doing and I showed her the equipment and she proceeded to tell me her life story being a nurse and working in on a surgical team. She was 92 years old and very engaged with our conversation.
I showed her the infant manikin and she was able to do compression and was thrilled that she was still able to do this!
Then told me she was going to go back and tell her mother...who lived across the hall from her..108 years young! Her Secret..keep engaged in conversations and always listen and learn!
